Woodland Hills, CA (May 9, 2026) – A Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle officer was hospitalized after a crash late Friday night, May 8, on the Ventura Freeway in Woodland Hills. The collision occurred at about 11:33 p.m. on the northbound US-101 near Topanga Canyon Boulevard.
Emergency units responded after the officer was injured in the crash and transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials did not release additional details about his condition.
The California Highway Patrol temporarily shut down multiple northbound lanes, allowing traffic to pass only through the far right lane while the scene was investigated. The closure remained in place for several hours before the lanes fully reopened early Saturday morning.
