Woodland Hills, CA (January 23, 2026) – A collision involving a pickup truck and at least one other vehicle resulted in injuries Thursday night on the westbound side of US-101 just east of Winnetka Ave. The crash occurred around 9:08 p.m., prompting a response from the Los Angeles Fire Department and California Highway Patrol.
One person from a white pickup truck was reportedly injured and later transported by paramedics for medical care. Officials updated the incident status to reflect injuries at the scene, with emergency responders initially blocking the offramp to assist the wounded.
CHP logs noted that a white Mercedes Sprinter van was seen swerving at high speed shortly before the crash. The van and the blue Sierra pickup were found a few yards apart on the right shoulder of the freeway.
Mission Towing was requested to recover the vehicles, which sustained moderate to major damage. Traffic in the area was impacted during the evening hours as the scene was secured and cleared.
An investigation remains ongoing as officers work to determine what led up to the crash, including the report of erratic driving behavior prior to the collision.
