Homer Township, OH (June 20, 2026) – The Medina County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal collision that killed a Wooster man and left two children injured. The collision involved two vehicles at the intersection of Jeffrey Road and Lafayette Road in Homer Township on Thursday afternoon, June 18.
It was reported by officials that the incident occurred at approximately 12:38 p.m. Investigators said 44-year-old Jason Henry of Wooster was driving west on Jeffrey Road when his SUV failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the intersection, where it was struck by a northbound truck. Henry suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators indicated that speed may have been a contributing factor. Two juvenile passengers in Henry’s vehicle were seriously injured and flown by medical helicopter to area hospitals for treatment. Their conditions have not been released. The 30-year-old driver of the truck was treated at the scene and later released. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available.
