Understanding Head-On Collisions in Urban Areas
Head-on crashes in city streets can occur when a vehicle crosses into an oncoming lane, often due to distraction, loss of control, or misjudgment of traffic. These collisions are among the most severe types of accidents because the combined speed of the two vehicles increases the force of impact.
Even at lower urban speeds, head-on collisions can cause serious injury or death. Seat belts, airbags, and defensive driving are important safety measures, but vigilance and careful lane management remain critical to prevent these accidents.
