Inwood, NY (August 20 2026) – At least one person was critically injured on Thursday morning when multiple cars collided and jumped the sidewalk in the Inwood section of Manhattan. It happened just after 6:30 a.m. at West 204th Street and Sherman Avenue, according to the police. Inwood is a residential neighborhood at the northern tip of Manhattan, near the Harlem River.
At least three vehicles were involved, and two other parked cars were also damaged, detectives said. They closed the intersection during the investigation. No further details about the cause were immediately available.
