Portland, MI (June 22, 2026) – A fatal motorcycle wreck during a charity ride was reported on Saturday, June 20, on Divine Highway. The accident happened around 11:15 a.m. between Maynard Road and Barnes Road.
The motorcycle-related collision involved multiple riders. A 66-year-old man from Howard City lost his life, and another person was hurt and listed in serious condition.
Early findings suggested the 66-year-old man may have been having a medical emergency when the wreck occurred. Divine Highway was closed after the motorcycle crash and later reopened after the initial response. The names of the people involved had not been released in the first public report.
