Laredo, TX (September 9, 2026) – On Monday afternoon, September 7, one man died, and another was hurt after a house fire spread to two neighboring homes on Hidden Ln.
Emergency units went to a residential fire at 309 Hidden Ln shortly after 3 p.m. The flames spread from the original home to two nearby properties, and all three houses suffered significant fire damage.
Witness Gabriel Moreno said he was riding his scooter when he noticed large plumes of dark smoke. Moreno said strong winds pushed the flames from the first house toward the neighboring properties.
One man was taken to a hospital with burn injuries. Another man was found dead inside the home, but his identity has not been released.
The fire was extinguished, although emergency units remained nearby afterwards. The cause of the fire remains under investigation as more details are gathered.
