Las Vegas, NV (June 30, 2026) – A motorcyclist lost their life on Monday morning, June 29, after a wreck involving an SUV at the intersection of Pecos Road and Russell Road in the southeast Las Vegas valley.
According to police, the fatal collision happened at about 7:10 a.m. An initial investigation found that a 2025 Indian Scout Bobber motorcycle was traveling south on Pecos Road through a green light while a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe was stopped in a northbound left-turn lane facing a solid red signal. Investigators said the SUV turned left against the red light, crossing into the motorcycle’s path.
The 26-year-old rider was thrown from the motorcycle and landed on the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the site. The Hyundai driver remained there after the crash and showed no signs of impairment. The identity of the motorcyclist has not yet been released. The police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash as they work to determine all contributing factors.
