What Factors Are Typically Reviewed After Motorcycle Accidents?
Major motorcycle crashes can involve several factors that help explain how two vehicles came into contact. Investigators may review the direction each vehicle was traveling, lane positions, turning movements, traffic signals, and visibility at the time.
Vehicle damage can also provide useful information about how the accident occurred. Photos, witness statements, roadway markings, and available video footage may help establish the sequence of events. In cases involving a turning vehicle, the timing and path of that movement may receive particular attention. Information about speed and whether either driver had enough time to avoid the collision may also be examined. These details can help create a clearer picture of what happened before and during a serious motorcycle wreck.
