LaBelle, FL (September 6, 2026) – One person was seriously injured early on Saturday morning, September 5, after a two-vehicle collision on SR-80 just east of Townsend Canal Rd.
Emergency units arrived at about 12:55 a.m. after a sedan and pickup truck became involved. Initial reports indicate that the sedan struck the pickup, causing it to overturn and roll onto its roof.
A 22-year-old man was reportedly ejected from the sedan and was declared a Trauma Alert. He was taken by air to Gulf Coast Medical Center with serious injuries.
All westbound lanes of SR-80 were blocked following the wreck. The identities of the people involved had not been publicly released.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
