Sacramento, CA (August 5, 2026) – One person was hurt in a multi-vehicle collision on August 4 on the eastbound US-50 just west of Hazel Avenue in Sacramento.
According to CHP dispatch reports, the crash was first reported at about 9:07 p.m. and involved three vehicles. Initial information indicated one vehicle was sideways in the No. 4 lane while two others came to rest off the roadway. Smoke was seen coming from one of the vehicles, and the collision blocked traffic in the slow lane and the No. 4 lane for a period of time.
Emergency units arrived at the roadway and confirmed that one person had a head injury. Tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles, and traffic remained affected while crews worked to clear the roadway. The identities of those involved have not been released, and no additional information about them was immediately available.
The cause of the collision remains under review as investigators continue gathering information.
