Detroit, MI (July 23, 2026) – One person was hurt after a three-vehicle collision along eastbound I-94 near Warren Avenue in Detroit.
The crash happened at about 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, along the eastbound lanes of I-94. Emergency units arrived to assist those involved, and one person was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of the person’s injuries has not been released.
One driver was arrested following the multi-vehicle wreck, although the reason for the arrest has not been disclosed. During the early stages of the response, there were concerns that a baby may have been inside one of the vehicles. Those reports were later determined to be incorrect after investigators confirmed no child was involved.
The freeway was fully reopened by about 5:00 a.m. after crews cleared the roadway. The cause of the collision remains under review as investigators continue gathering information.
