St. Louis Park, MN (July 19, 2026) – One person was injured, and around 90 apartment units were damaged after a large fire at the Helix Apartments on Highway 7 in St. Louis Park on Friday afternoon, July 17.
According to city officials, crews responded to a report of smoke at the apartment complex located at 7500 Highway 7 around 4:47 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters found an active fire with flames emanating from the roof of the 167-unit building. The fire was brought under control around 8:30 p.m., but crews continued working to extinguish hot spots and check for remaining flames.
One person was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and two firefighters were treated at the scene for heat-related injuries. Multiple fire departments assisted with the response.
