Helen Township, MN (June 22, 2026) – One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident reported on Saturday, June 20, at the intersection of Dairy Avenue and 100th Street in Helen Township, McLeod County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2001 Ford Econoline and a 2019 Honda CR-V were both traveling eastbound on 100th Street when they came into contact near the intersection. The roadway was dry at the time.
The Ford was driven by 67-year-old Terry Allen Ybarra of Arlington. He was wearing a seatbelt and was not hurt. The Honda was operated by 73-year-old Carol Renee Pflanz, also of Arlington. She was wearing a seat belt, and the vehicle’s airbag deployed during the collision. Pflanz sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Glencoe ER for treatment.
Alcohol was not suspected as a factor for either driver. Additional details about the crash were not released in the initial report.
