Orange County, FL (July 21, 2026) – A man lost his life in an early Monday morning crash involving a passenger car and a tractor-trailer at the intersection of Orange Blossom Trail and the northbound State Road 417 exit ramp in Orange County.
The fatal collision occurred at about 2 a.m. According to preliminary findings, the man was driving a Kia K4 south on Orange Blossom Trail when witnesses reported he entered the intersection against a red light. At the same time, a 43-year-old Kissimmee man driving a Freightliner tractor-trailer was making a left turn from the northbound SR-417 exit ramp onto northbound Orange Blossom Trail.
The Kia struck the left side of the trailer before leaving the roadway and hitting a light pole. The Kia driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released as the Medical Examiner’s Office works to confirm his identity and notify his family. The tractor-trailer driver was not hurt and remained at the scene.
Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
