Fond du Lac County, WI (July 23, 2026) – An 11-year-old girl died, and three others were injured after a minivan crashed and overturned on Wednesday afternoon, July 22, on County Highway V in Fond du Lac County.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, a minivan driven by a 29-year-old local man was traveling along County Highway V with three child passengers when it lost control, crossed the centerline, and entered the west ditch.
Authorities said the minivan struck an embankment after leaving the roadway, became airborne, and rolled over several times before coming to rest in the ditch.
The driver, an 8-year-old boy from Fond du Lac, and a 15-year-old girl from Campbellsport were transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
An 11-year-old female passenger was airlifted by ThedaStar to the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin but later died from her injuries.
