Leeds, WI (August 12, 2026) – A 16-year-old girl suffered potential serious injuries Tuesday morning after a three-vehicle crash on Highway 51 near Badger Lane in Leeds, Columbia County.
According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received multiple 911 calls about the crash on August 11. Three vehicles were involved: a 2006 Chevrolet pickup driven by a 16-year-old from Randolph, a 2019 Oshkosh cement mixer driven by a 36-year-old Wyocena man, and a 2022 Ram pickup driven by a 63-year-old Stoughton man.
Investigators determined that the teenage driver was traveling south on Highway 51 when she crossed the centerline and collided with the cement truck. Her pickup was then struck by the Ram pickup.
The 16-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital with what authorities described as potential serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Sheriff Roger Brander said inattentive driving is believed to have contributed to the crash and emphasized the importance of avoiding distractions while driving.
Highway 51 was closed for approximately three hours while investigators worked at the scene. The roadway has since reopened, but the investigation remains ongoing.
