Saginaw, MI (June 30, 2026) – Two people died after a vehicle struck a telephone pole and caught fire late on Sunday night, June 28, near the intersection of South Washington Avenue and Gallagher Avenue in Saginaw. The crash happened at approximately 11:46 p.m.
Three people were pulled from the vehicle. A 24-year-old Saginaw woman in the front seat was taken to a hospital, where she later died. A 29-year-old Saginaw man in the back seat was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman driving the vehicle, also 24 and from Saginaw, was taken to a hospital with injuries of unknown severity. What caused the wreck has not been disclosed.
