Dover, DE (July 10, 2026) – Three people suffered potentially critical injuries, including a child who was airlifted from the scene, following a serious crash on Thursday night near the intersection of the Route 1 off-ramp and North Little Creek Road in Dover.
The collision was reported at approximately 9:41 p.m. Emergency dispatchers sent firefighters, paramedics, the Delaware State Police Aviation, and multiple EMS units to the scene after receiving reports of a crash with several seriously injured occupants.
Initial reports indicated three patients sustained potentially critical injuries. One pediatric patient required transport by the Delaware State Police Aviation Trooper 4 to a trauma center. Additional information regarding the conditions of the other injured patients has not been released.
Authorities have not disclosed how many vehicles were involved or what factors may have contributed to the collision. The roadway was impacted while emergency crews treated the injured and secured the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
