Winona, TX (September 2, 2026) – On a Monday night, August 31, a fire emergency at a mobile home on Lado De Loma Dr left three people hurt and displaced a family. The home is in the 200 block of Lado De Loma Dr, northwest of Winona.
Emergency units arrived around 8:35 p.m. after receiving a report of the fire. An adult man suffered serious burns and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. An adult woman and a young child also suffered minor burns and were hospitalized. Another child inside the home escaped without injury.
The mobile home was declared a total loss. The cause and origin remain under investigation, while the American Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced family. The investigation into what caused the fire is still underway, with additional details expected as they become available.
