Lexington, KY (July 12, 2026) – Three people were hurt in a multi-vehicle accident involving a Lexington police officer on July 9 at the intersection of Man O’War Boulevard and Sir Barton Way. The crash happened at about 4:44 p.m. and involved two vehicles.
According to the police, three people were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The officer involved was not among those hurt. Investigators also said no charges are expected to be filed in connection with the collision.
The inner loop of Man O’War Boulevard was temporarily closed while emergency units worked in the roadway and crews cleared the vehicles. Traffic was expected to return to normal once the lanes were reopened. The cause of the crash remains under review, and additional information may be released as the investigation continues.
