Carson, CA (September 14, 2026) – Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Saturday, September 12, on southbound Interstate 405 near Avalon Boulevard in Carson.
The California Highway Patrol initially reported a two-vehicle crash at around 4:27 a.m., in which a van struck a tree. A later update indicated that three vehicles were involved and classified the collision as a major-injury crash. One person was trapped inside a vehicle but was conscious and breathing.
Another person reported hitting their head but initially declined medical assistance. CHP later requested medical transport, and an ambulance was dispatched to transport an injured person for treatment. Several tow services were also requested to remove the damaged vehicles.
