Santa Maria, CA (September 14, 2026) – An injury crash involving multiple vehicles was reported Saturday, September 12, on northbound U.S. 101 under Betteravia Road in Santa Maria.
The California Highway Patrol initially received a report of a two-vehicle crash around 5:59 a.m. A dark-colored pickup truck was reportedly facing the wrong way in an unknown lane after colliding with a dark-colored sedan. A later update indicated that three vehicles were involved.
A driver of a red Toyota Camry requested an ambulance for a possible head injury. CHP later classified the incident as a traffic collision with an ambulance en route. Two vehicles were blocking the No. 3 lane, causing a partial lane closure while responders worked at the scene.
The circumstances leading to the crash and the extent of the reported injury were not immediately available.
