Bakersfield, CA (September 14, 2026) – A minor-injury crash involving a Mazda and a semi-truck was reported Saturday, September 12, on southbound State Route 184 near Di Giorgio Road in Bakersfield.
The California Highway Patrol initially classified the collision as one with unknown injuries after reporting that a dark blue Mazda and a semi-truck were involved. The vehicles were blocking lanes, and occupants of the Mazda were initially unable to get out because of damage from the crash.
CHP later changed the incident classification to a minor-injury collision. A medical transport was requested for the Mazda, and a tow service was called to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway. Additional information about the number of people injured or the extent of their injuries was not immediately available.
