Milwaukee, WI (June 21, 2026) – Three people were injured on Friday night in a two-vehicle crash involving a Milwaukee Police squad car at Richards Street and Burleigh Street.
The collision occurred around 8:15 p.m. on June 19, when a police cruiser was traveling east through the area, according to available information. Authorities said another vehicle, which had been stopped in the right lane, made an unsafe left turn and struck the squad car.
Two officers inside the police vehicle, ages 28 and 27, were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle, a 17-year-old, had to be extricated from the vehicle and was also transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. One of the injured was later taken to Children’s Wisconsin for additional care. Our thoughts are with those involved.
