How DUI-Related Motorcycle Crashes Are Typically Investigated
Crashes involving suspected impaired driving are examined closely due to the increased risk of severe outcomes. Investigators typically look at driving behavior before impact, roadway evidence, and any available witness or video footage.
Toxicology results and field sobriety assessments may also play a role in determining impairment. In motorcycle collisions, investigators often review visibility, speed, and reaction time to understand whether the crash could have been avoided.
These investigations can take time as officials work to confirm contributing factors and gather all necessary evidence before final conclusions are made.
