Mankato, MN (September 2, 2026) – Four people were injured on Tuesday afternoon, September 1, when two vehicles collided at the intersection of County Rd 90 and County Rd 16 in Mankato Township, Blue Earth County. The collision occurred around 2:25 p.m.
A Toyota Camry was traveling north on County Rd 16 while a Ford Edge was heading west on County Rd 90 when the vehicles collided.
The Ford Edge was driven by 27-year-old Payge Arianna Duerksen of Madelia. Her two passengers, a 6-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy, were also hurt. Duerksen and both children were taken to MCHS-Mankato with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Toyota Camry was driven by 77-year-old John David Brady of Mankato. He was also taken to MCHS-Mankato with a non-life-threatening injury.
Emergency units assisted at the site following the accident. The circumstances surrounding the wreck remain under review as the investigation continues.
