Linn County, IA (August 12, 2026) – Four people, including a 5-month-old baby, were hospitalized on Monday night after a vehicle rolled into a ditch along northbound Interstate 380 in Linn County.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office said deputies and emergency crews responded around 7:47 p.m. to I-380 near the 32-mile marker, close to Hagerman Road.
Investigators said a 2008 Toyota Camry entered the east ditch and rolled over before coming to rest on its side.
Four people were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. Authorities said everyone was wearing a seat belt, while the infant was properly secured in a child safety seat.
All four occupants were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment. Their injuries were considered non-life-threatening.
The circumstances that caused the Toyota Camry to leave the roadway and enter the ditch were not immediately released. The incident remains under investigation.
