Tulsa, OK (June 18, 2026) – A 50-year-old man was killed early on Wednesday morning, June 17, after being struck by an SUV in south Tulsa, according to the Tulsa Police Department.
Authorities said the fatal collision occurred just before 1 a.m. near 8400 Riverside Parkway. Officers responding to the scene found the victim deceased along the roadway.
Investigators determined that the man was attempting to cross Riverside Parkway when he was struck by a southbound SUV. Witnesses told police the pedestrian was running across the street in a dark area, away from a designated crosswalk.
Police said the driver immediately stopped after the collision, checked on the victim, and called 911. Despite emergency response efforts, the man died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released. Tulsa police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision and indicated they do not believe the driver will face criminal charges.
