Orlando, FL (July 23, 2026) — A 57-year-old Orlando man riding a bicycle was killed in a collision with a Tesla Model 3 in Orange County on Wednesday, July 22.
The crash occurred around 1:21 p.m. at State Road 50, also known as East Colonial Drive, and Woodbury Road. The Florida Highway Patrol said the bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Tesla driver, an adult woman whose identity was not released, was taken to AdventHealth East Orlando with minor injuries. Eastbound lanes of East Colonial Drive were closed while troopers investigated and later reopened. Authorities continue reviewing the wreck.
