Williamstown, MA (August 9, 2026) – A highway collision between a car and a bicycle claimed the life of a 7-year-old child from Williamstown on Friday evening, August 7, at Main Street and Buxton Hill Road. The collision happened shortly after 5:30 p.m.
Investigators said the car was traveling east on Main Street while the child was riding a bicycle toward Main Street on Buxton Hill Road. The bicyclist entered Main Street and was struck by the car. Investigators said the driver was not impaired by alcohol or drugs. The family has requested privacy following the child’s death. The investigation remains ongoing as officials continue examining the circumstances of the crash.
