Ellington, CT (August 9, 2026) – A second-floor fire prompted a two-alarm response early on Friday morning, August 7, at a two-story wood-frame home on East Porter Road in Ellington. The blaze was reported at approximately 1:34 a.m.
Smoke was visible when emergency crews arrived, and a working fire was declared. The second-floor fire prompted a request for additional tanker support, with crews from Tolland, West Stafford, and Somers providing mutual aid. One person was evaluated by EMS following the fire. Crews had the fire knocked down and under control at about 2:20 a.m.
