Miami-Dade County, FL (June 8, 2026) – An 8-year-old boy was hospitalized Saturday, June 6, after a boating accident in the Cutter Bank Channel in Miami-Dade County. According to reports, a 22-foot Angler vessel struck a channel marker while a father and his three sons were aboard the boat.
The father and the child were thrown from the vessel during the collision. Emergency units took the boy to a nearby trauma center, while the father and the two other children received treatment for minor injuries at the waterway.
No names or additional details about those involved were released in the initial report. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is continuing to review the circumstances leading to the boating crash.
