Los Angeles, CA (January 5, 2026) – Several people sustained injuries early Friday morning following a traffic accident on Verdugo Road in Northeast Los Angeles.
The crash occurred around 12:11 a.m. near the 4400 block of Verdugo Road, in the Glassell Park area. The roadway was active with late-night traffic when the collision took place, involving at least two vehicles. The impact caused visible damage to the vehicles and drew a swift emergency response from local authorities.
First responders, including firefighters and EMS units, provided immediate care to those injured. At least one person required transportation to a nearby medical center for further evaluation. Officials noted that the injuries varied in severity, though all victims were reported to be conscious at the scene.
The stretch of Verdugo Road where the crash occurred was temporarily blocked while emergency crews worked to secure the area and conduct a preliminary investigation. Traffic delays were reported for a short time until the roadway was cleared.
