Findlay, OH (January 9, 2026) – A woman from Elida suffered potentially serious injuries following a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday evening in Findlay. The crash took place at the intersection of W Sandusky St and Western Ave around 7:53 p.m.
Authorities report that a 2015 Chrysler Town & Country, driven by 72-year-old Belinda Faircloth of Elida, was traveling westbound on W Sandusky St when it collided with a 2013 Nissan Altima heading southbound on Western Ave. The driver of the Altima was identified as 18-year-old Zackary Smith of Findlay.
The impact of the crash left Faircloth with injuries that required emergency care. She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The full extent of her injuries has not yet been publicly released, but responders described them as potentially serious.
Emergency crews from the Findlay Fire Department and Hanco EMS were dispatched to the scene, along with assistance from Frank’s Towing and the City of Findlay Water Department. Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were removed from the intersection to restore traffic flow.
At this time, the cause of the crash remains undetermined, and the Findlay Police Department continues to investigate the incident.
