Wichita, KS (January 11, 2026) – A pedestrian was injured on Friday evening following a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision at the intersection of North Hillside Street and East Central Avenue in Wichita. Emergency crews, including Medic 33, responded to the scene shortly after 5:00 p.m. on January 9.
The incident occurred near the Westlake area, where first responders provided medical care to the injured individual. The extent of the injuries has not been publicly confirmed, and the identity of the pedestrian has not yet been released.
Authorities closed off parts of the intersection as medics rendered aid and investigators examined the circumstances of the crash. It remains unclear whether the driver involved remained at the scene or if any citations were issued.
