Wichita, KS (January 11, 2026) – A hit-and-run accident with reported injuries occurred on Friday night near the intersection of South Broadway and East MacArthur Road in Wichita, prompting a large emergency response and active scene management.
The incident was reported around 8:25 p.m., and responding units included Squad 19, Engine 19, and Engine 13, which assumed command under the designation “Broadway Command.” The crash involved at least one injured individual, and early communications referenced a white truck possibly involved in the incident, spotted near a telephone pole in front of a nearby business.
Emergency crews arrived quickly to assess the situation, provide medical care to the injured, and search for the suspect vehicle. The full extent of injuries has not yet been disclosed, and it is unclear how many individuals were hurt in the collision.
