Chicago, IL (January 11, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash with reported injuries Friday afternoon at the intersection of Jackson Boulevard and South Leamington Avenue on Chicago’s West Side. The incident was reported around 2:23 p.m. and involved a silver SUV and a red sedan.
Fire department units arrived on scene shortly after dispatch and began evaluating the individuals involved. At least one person sustained injuries in the crash, though the extent of those injuries has not yet been confirmed. Paramedics provided medical assistance at the scene and transported any necessary patients to nearby hospitals.
Preliminary information also indicated that the red sedan involved in the crash may not have valid insurance coverage, which could impact post-collision proceedings.
