La Mesa, CA (January 12, 2026) – A two-car collision early Saturday morning near Grossmont Center Drive left one driver injured and transported for medical care. The incident was reported around 1:00 a.m. on January 11 and involved a small car and a truck.
According to dispatch audio, the crash occurred after one vehicle reportedly merged into another lane, causing the collision. The driver of the small car, who was properly restrained, suffered a hematoma above one eye and reported pain in the right arm and shoulder. Fortunately, no loss of consciousness was noted.
Emergency medical personnel evaluated the injured driver on scene and transported them to Grossmont Hospital for further treatment. No other injuries were reported at the time.
Local authorities are investigating the cause of the crash and will determine whether any citations are warranted.
