San Diego, CA (January 12, 2026) – Police are investigating a hit-and-run collision that resulted in injuries Saturday night near the intersection of Mission Center Rd and 8th St in San Diego. The incident was reported at approximately 9:09 p.m. on January 11, according to dispatch audio.
Authorities stated that the driver responsible for the crash initially fled the scene on foot before reportedly entering a white SUV. The vehicle was last seen heading north on Texas St. The number of individuals injured and the extent of their injuries have not yet been confirmed.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the incident to provide care to those hurt and assist with the investigation. The identities of those involved have not been released, and it remains unclear how many vehicles were impacted.
