Vienna, VA (January 12, 2026) – A 51-year-old man is in critical condition following a pedestrian-involved crash that occurred Saturday night in Vienna, according to local authorities.
The Vienna Police Department reported that officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 8:10 p.m. after receiving calls about a pedestrian struck in the northbound lanes of Maple Ave East, near the Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail—a well-traveled area for both vehicle and foot traffic.
When officers arrived, they found the man seriously injured. Emergency medical personnel treated him at the scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Police confirmed that the driver involved in the incident remained at the location and cooperated fully with the responding officers. The identity of the victim has not been released, and no charges have been announced at this time.
