Shingobee Twp, MN (January 13, 2026) – An accident involving two vehicles resulted in injuries on Monday morning at the intersection of Hwy 371 and Hwy 200 in Cass County, prompting a response from local fire and medical units.
The collision occurred at approximately 10:47 a.m., when a northbound 2013 Chevrolet Malibu reportedly slid through the intersection and was struck by an eastbound 1999 Ford F550 Cab Chassis. Emergency responders from the Walker Fire Department and North Ambulance arrived to assist those involved. One individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Bemidji Hospital for treatment.
According to officials, the driver of the Malibu, a 19-year-old Walker man, was wearing a seat belt and reported no injuries. The 62-year-old driver of the Ford truck, also from Walker, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Both drivers were confirmed to be sober at the time of the crash.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota State Patrol are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident. Weather and road conditions may have been contributing factors.
