Clarksville, NH (January 14, 2026) – A Massachusetts man was injured on Sunday afternoon in a snowmobile accident along Corridor Trail 5 in Clarksville, marking the fourth snowmobile crash in Coos County this week.
The crash took place around 3:45 p.m. on January 11 in a remote area of the trail system. According to officials, 58-year-old Robert Pullano of Franklin, MA, was traveling south when he failed to navigate a right-hand turn. His snowmobile veered off the trail into a ditch, ejecting him from the vehicle.
Due to the remote nature of the crash site, a coordinated rescue response was required. Emergency personnel from 45th Parallel EMS, Pittsburg Fire and Rescue Department, New Hampshire Fish and Game, and State Police Troop F worked together to reach the injured man. Members of Pullano’s riding group provided initial aid and stayed with him until responders arrived.
Rescuers used a specialized snowmobile and sled to transport the injured man to a nearby road, where he was transferred to an ambulance and taken to Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook for further treatment. His current condition has not been released.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident and have reminded outdoor recreationists to exercise caution, particularly in remote terrain and along unfamiliar trails.
We send our best wishes to Mr. Pullano for a full and smooth recovery.
