Jacksonville, FL (January 14, 2026) – A crash on the northbound side of I-295 just before the Roosevelt Blvd exit left at least one person injured and the left exit lane blocked during the height of Wednesday morning’s commute.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:21 a.m. near mile marker 10 in the Duval County section of Jacksonville. Responding paramedics provided on-site treatment to the injured individuals, with at least one person transported for further medical evaluation due to injuries sustained in the collision.
The left exit lane remained closed for a period of time while Florida Highway Patrol and emergency crews worked to manage the scene and attend to those involved. Motorists experienced delays and rerouting as cleanup operations and investigations were underway.
Authorities have not yet released the number of vehicles involved or the exact cause of the crash. Investigators remained on scene for more than an hour gathering evidence and determining whether traffic congestion, speed, or other contributing factors played a role.
Traffic conditions in the area have since normalized following the removal of debris and reopening of the blocked lane.
