Jefferson Co, MO (January 14, 2026) – A serious collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle late Tuesday morning left one man with significant injuries at the intersection of Missouri 30 and Valley Dell Dr in Jefferson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 10:55 a.m. when a 38-year-old male motorcyclist on a 2006 Harley Davidson XLH 833 was traveling westbound along MO-30. Reports indicate that the motorcyclist was attempting to bypass backed-up traffic by riding along the right shoulder. At the same time, a 78-year-old female driver of a northbound 2021 Chrysler 300 was making a legal left-hand turn at the traffic signal.
The motorcycle struck the left side of the Chrysler, ejecting the rider upon impact. Emergency crews from the North Jefferson County Ambulance District responded promptly and transported the injured man to Mercy Hospital South with serious injuries. He was reportedly not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene by High Ridge Towing. The driver of the Chrysler was reportedly unharmed and had been wearing a seat belt.
Multiple units from Troop C assisted at the crash site, and investigators are continuing to review evidence to determine all contributing factors. Traffic in the area was delayed while emergency services worked to clear the roadway.
We extend our sincere thoughts to the injured rider and hope for his full recovery.
