Butler, MO (January 15, 2026) – Two women were injured Wednesday afternoon following a head-on collision just outside Poplar Bluff. The crash occurred around 2:35 p.m. on January 14 along Lanee Ln, roughly half a mile west of the city limits.
According to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound 2009 Chevrolet Aveo crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound 2014 RAM 3500. The impact resulted in total damage to the Chevrolet, which had to be removed from the scene by Woolard’s Towing. The RAM sustained minor damage and was able to be driven away.
The 31-year-old female driver of the Chevrolet and her 30-year-old female passenger, both from Poplar Bluff, sustained injuries. Emergency medical personnel with Butler County EMS responded and transported both women to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for further care. One of the occupants had not been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The male driver of the RAM, a 42-year-old from Poplar Bluff, was properly restrained and was not reported injured.
