Irvine, CA (January 16, 2026) – A traffic collision late on Thursday night on the southbound side of Interstate 405 near Sand Canyon Ave resulted in reported injuries and brought emergency personnel to the scene in the Oak Creek area of Irvine.
The crash occurred around 10:20 p.m., affecting multiple lanes of traffic on one of Orange County’s busiest freeways. At least two vehicles were involved in the incident, which caused significant congestion as responders arrived to assess the situation and care for those injured.
Medics provided immediate aid to several individuals suffering from various injuries. At least one person required transportation to a local hospital for further medical treatment. The exact number of injured victims and the severity of their conditions have not yet been confirmed by officials.
