Davis, CA (January 16, 2026) – A serious rollover crash in Davis on Thursday afternoon left at least one person with major injuries, according to a report from the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:41 p.m. on January 15, along Mace Blvd just north of Road 35. Officials said a sedan left the roadway for unknown reasons and overturned, landing on its side in a ditch approximately 10 feet off the road.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene and provided aid to the injured party. At least one individual sustained major injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent care. Authorities have not released the identity or condition of the injured person at this time.
As a result of the crash, both directions of Mace Blvd were temporarily closed to allow responders to secure the area and begin a thorough investigation.
Officials are still working to determine what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and whether speed, mechanical issues, or other factors contributed to the rollover.
