Kershaw County, SC (January 18, 2026) – One person was killed Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of S.C. 903 (McBee Highway) and Mount Pisgah Road in Kershaw County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The fatal collision occurred just before 2:00 p.m. on January 17. Authorities reported that a 2013 GMC Terrain was traveling west on Mount Pisgah Road when it collided with a 2025 Chevrolet pickup truck heading south on SC-903.
There were five people involved in the crash—two occupants in the Chevrolet pickup and three in the GMC SUV. The front-seat passenger of the GMC Terrain sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of those involved have not yet been publicly released.
Emergency responders arrived quickly to treat the surviving occupants and secure the crash site. The extent of injuries among the remaining victims has not been confirmed at this time.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash, including whether speed, road conditions, or right-of-way violations may have contributed.
