La Verne, CA (January 21, 2026) – A three-vehicle accident on Interstate 10 East near Fairplex Dr late Monday night left at least one individual seriously injured, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred shortly after 10:12 p.m. on January 19, when officers were alerted to multiple vehicles blocking lanes and debris scattered across the roadway. Initial dispatch reports indicated that drivers in the eastbound lanes were swerving to avoid stopped vehicles, with one car reportedly turned sideways across two lanes before the collision took place.
CHP officials confirmed that the crash involved a 2023 white Toyota BZ4X electric vehicle and two additional passenger vehicles. The series of impacts left at least one person with serious injuries requiring medical attention. Emergency crews responded quickly, and at least one injured individual was transported to a nearby hospital. The exact number of those hurt and their conditions have not yet been confirmed.
Authorities worked overnight to clear the wreckage and determine the sequence of events that led to the crash. No arrests were reported in connection with the incident, and the cause remains under active investigation.
